Secret of Mana Characters
Randi
Description
You begin Secret of Mana playing as Randi, an orphan who lives with the town elder. While playing with two of the local kids in a prohibited area of Potos, randi falls off from a log crossing into a shallow pond type area.
As he adventures around he finds a sword stuck within a stone. Randi hears a voice telling him to obtain the sword. For a short time, the boy sees a spirit; who turns out to be Randi’s father. With this sword, the boy has innocently started his fated road to be the Mana Hero.
Purim
Description
Purim is the princess of Pandora. Her father, the King of Pandora wishes her to get married against her will. Her main reasons for joining Randi on his expedition are to get away from her pushy father as well as locate her boyfriend, Dyluck, who has been kidnapped.
Purim's the domineering type, but she's your foundation for protective magic. Purim can even cast spells onto your artillery, giving you the influence of a certain elemental.
Popoi
Description
Randi meets up with Popoi in Gaia's Naval, and you soon realises he’s the smart mouth type. Lost when young, the sprite wants to get back to his habitat in the Upper Land. He decides to leave with you, unwillingly at first, until you get him back home, then he chooses to stick it out with you.
Popoi will turn out to be your main source for attack magic, and he learns a new spell after each boss you defeat.
